<p class="ql-align-justify">Intestinal <span style="color: rgb(0, 29, 53);">obstruction </span>due to mass at the colonic hepatic flexure.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34);">Received was a right hemicolectomy specimen consisting of a 5 x 2 cm segment of terminal ileum, a 25 x 2.5 cm segment of cecum and ascending colon, and an attached 7 x 0.6 cm appendix. Opening revealed a solid, firm, creamy-colored, annular ulcerated mass measuring 5.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm. The mass was located 13 cm from one resection margin and 9 cm from the other. The attached mesenteric fat measured 15 x 3.5 cm and contains 17 lymph nodes, the largest of which measured 1.3 cm in maximum dimension.</span></p>
<h3><strong><em><u>Ascending colon mass, Right hemicolectomy:</u></em></strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Adenocarcinoma, gland forming, grade 2, with focal mucinous component.</strong></li><li><strong>Lymph nodes are (14/17) positive for metastatic deposits, with capsular invasion and extranodal extension.</strong></li><li><strong>Margins are negative. </strong></li><li><strong>pT3N2Mx</strong></li></ul>
