<p class="ql-align-justify">Lymph node with preserved normal nodal pattern and hyperplasia of the lymphoid follicles which retain active and intact germinal centers with tingible body macrophages. There is associated inflammatory cell infiltrate in subcapsular areas of lymph node with extension into perinodal fibrofatty tissue. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of malignancy. </p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Intestinal obstruction underwent an open exploratory laparotomy that revealed a retroperitoneal mass with lymphadenopathy, excision of parajejunal lymph node was done.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">One lymph node measured 1.7x1.3x1 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<h3><strong><em><u>Parajejunal lymph node, excision biopsy:</u></em></strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Reactive follicular lymphoid hyperplasia with chronic non-specific lymphadenitis and periadenitis.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
