Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Polypoid lesion composed of hyperplastic endocervical mucous glands and Nabothian cysts, covered by focally ulcerated columnar endocervical epithelium with related areas of squamous metaplasia. Stroma is fibrotic and vascular and shows focal infiltration by inflammatory cells. No evidence of endometrial tissue . No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p>Cervical polyp.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragment measured 2x1.3x1 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify"><strong><em><u>Cervical polypectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Inflamed hyperplastic endocervical polyp with Nabothian cysts and squamous metaplasia.</strong></li><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Negative for atypia. </strong></li></ul>
