<p class="ql-align-justify">Appendicular lumen is full of neutrophils that extend into wall in between the mucosal associated lymphoid tissue together with lymphocytes and plasma cells. Such infiltrate extends to periappendicular fat amounting at abscess formation and firbosis. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of appendicular tumors.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">A case of acute appendicitis with a suspected desmoid mass found at the apex of the appendix.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Appendix measuring 4 x 0.7 cm with 2.5 cm of attached fat, exhibiting a thickened wall measuring 0.4 cm and a mucosal ulceration.</p>
<h3><strong><em><u>Appendicectomy: </u></em></strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Acute (suppurative) on top of chronic appendicitis with periappendicitis and abscess formation with fibrosis.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
